The story takes place mainly in Chicago, Illinois. Her aunt Leslie and Uncle Frank and their five children stayed overnight. In the morning they will board a flight to Paris where they will spend the holidays with Frank and Peter’s brother Rob. After Kevin’s older brother Buzz deliberately eats all the cheese pizza, his younger brother’s favorite, he pushes her over the counter, causing the milk to spill all over. Everyone automatically accuses Kevin and puts him to bed early. Before he goes to bed at night, he wishes he could never see his family again. The next morning the electricity goes out at night, everyone wakes up in the evening and there is a little rush to get everything ready. Kevin, who sleeps in the attic and is unaware of the chaos below, does not feel it. The family confuses a neighbor boy with Kevin and leaves the airport. When she finally wakes up and finds the house empty, she thinks it’s all a joke until she remembers what happened last night. The little boy sees his freedom and does whatever he wants. Unbeknownst to them, the two robbers wanted to rob his house, believing that the family was no longer on holiday. On the plane, Kate finally realizes what is missing but can’t go back until they reach Paris.
Kate was the last to see Kevin before they went to Paris and, as a mother, is very concerned about her son’s safety. After the family arrives in Paris, Kate decides to return to the provinces alone to look for Kevin. He encounters a series of hurdles as he tries to find an available flight back to Chicago because it is a holiday where everyone travels. An anxious mother who travels all the planes can trust that the airport she arrives at will have a place in Chicago. You can clearly see the tiredness and frustration on Kate’s face as she tries to be patient, hoping for a miracle of some sort of Christmas. A good character is a really talented character.
Another feature of the film, and perhaps the most well-known feature, is the traps of the robbers. Only a child can think of ways to have such great things to keep thieves from stealing his family’s belongings. We can all be grateful for the idea of creating a child you have. As an adult, we tend to lose some of that as we discover more about the true world. I believe this feature is the most powerful in Home Alone. If an adult faced a similar situation, he would simply call the police and have them treat us. But being a child and, as a result, with a childish perspective, Kevin decides to deal with the robbers in his own way before calling the police.
The movie is set for Christmas. The entire McAlister family (about 10 members) is preparing for a trip to Florida. It was then that they checked their luggage in Florida that they realized they had left one very important responsibility – their own Kevin. Kevin is currently getting off the plane and realizes he is not in Florida but is in New York. Home Alone 2 all shows Kevin’s self-sacrifice as he tries to find a way back to his loved ones.
There are many funny moments in movies like Kevin and his brother Buzz who give chewing gum as a tip to the hotel manager, Kevin’s encounter with a dove-girly woman, various abuses of ‘sticky robbers,’ and Kevin’s successful hotel staff believe his father is in the hotel room.
What seems to stand out in the movie is the theme of love. Kevin is seen as a boy deprived of love, even the love of his family. Although he is a bad man, he appears to be a very kind man who really cares about people. When he visits a toy store, he is so frustrated with the owner’s generosity that he spends huge sums of money on deprived children. Another example of love in Home Alone 2 is when Kevin tries to talk and understand this lady with pigeons. At first, she is scared and runs away but in time she has second thoughts and realizes that she is, in fact, a woman with a big heart. For him, Kevin sees a friend he has never met. He gives her another turtle dove – a symbol of their eternal friendship. Another fine example of love shown in the movies is Kevin’s mother’s love for him. Her true love for him that helps her find him on the streets of New York is completely confusing.
